Ready For What's Around The Corner.

Switchback Electrical brings nearly two decades of hands-on experience to residential, commercial and industrial work across Christchurch and surrounding areas. From everyday electrical jobs around the home to commercial installations, industrial maintenance and more technical work, we're ready for whatever direction the job takes.

Industrial.

When things get more technical, experience with machinery, motors, pumps, controls and fault finding helps keep things moving.

Commercial.

From new installations and upgrades to unexpected faults, we help keep businesses and commercial premises moving.

Residential.

The everyday jobs around the home matter just as much – from new power points and lighting to renovations and tracking down faults.

Meet Jason.

The Electrician Behind Switchback.

I'm Jason Kessack, and I've worked across a wide range of electrical environments. My early career focused on industrial and commercial work, including sawmills, engineering workshops, pump stations, industrial sites and commercial buildings. That involved installations, maintenance, breakdowns and fault finding across machinery, motors, pumps and electrical controls.

I've also built extensive residential experience – from complete rewires and new builds to renovations, lighting, power, repairs and electrical fault finding.

The result is a broad electrical background – from everyday jobs around the home to the more technical stuff.

Beyond the Tools.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me heading outdoors.

Tramping with my two dogs, skiing, mountain biking and rock climbing are a big part of how I spend my time away from the tools. With a young son, there are plenty of family adventures to be had – getting out, exploring and seeing what's around the corner.
